Blazers showing heart, Bills stinking it up

The Blazers beat the Nuggets on Christmas day in front of a national TV audience. It was great to beat a division rival, especially that big idiot Chris "Birdman" Anderson. Now we are only a game back of Denver. Juwan Howard has been such a great addition, especially since Oden and Pryzbilla are out for the year. Everyone kind of assumed we were done for the year when the injuries came, but now we have won 4 in a row over quality opponents! The guys on our injured list would make a pretty decent team themselves - Oden, Pryzbilla, Rudy Fernandez, Travis Outlaw, Patrick Mills would challenge many starting 5s in the league. I really like what Jeff Pendergraph has done in just a couple of games since returning from his injury. Looks like the scrappy, intimidating presence we were looking for this summer in Milsap or Bass. I'm excited to be a Blazer fan right now, and I hope they keep defying the odds!

On another note, the Bills are looking pathetic. I hope they don't settle for Charlie Weis at coach. Someone who is a proven winner with a fiery personality is what I would like. Bill Cowher, Marty Schottenheimer or even Brian Billick would work for me. I'm not sure if I want them to draft a QB this year or wait until next year. They definitely need an OT, and if a great one is available I think they should jump. Maybe Jake Locker will be in the draft next year. I'm not really sold on any of the QB prospects this year.

The NFL playoffs are starting to shape up. I'm hoping for the Vikings or Saints to win it all. Anyone but the Patriots or Cowboys would be OK.
