Blazers Playoffs!!

The Blazers are in the playoffs and can do no worse than the 5th seed! Home court advantage will be huge, so if we can get 4th that would be great. 3rd seed is a remote possibility, but Denver would have to lose to Sacramento, which is highly unlikely. We have done well against San Antonio lately, so if we are 4th and they are 5th, we could beat them in the first round. We have matched up well against the Lakers, and I would LOVE to beat them and shut them up. If we do get to the Lakers in round 2 it would be pretty great. Houston and Denver seem to have our number, but anyone else would be doable. Pryzbilla and Aldridge have really stepped it up recently - they are a great front court now. Blake is a lot better than people give him credit for and Roy is a legitimate superstar. Add Batum's energy and timely shooting and a deep bench and you can see why Portland is excited for the playoffs. Go Blazers!!

Blazers heading to playoffs

With a convincing win over the Utah Jazz, the Blazers are only 2 more wins from qualifying for the playoffs. With 8 left, we should make it easily and hopefully we will challenge Denver for the NW division title. Either way, making the playoffs with a team that you are proud to root for is a huge thing for the Blazers. Not since the early '90's have the fans had this kind of a great team to cheer on. If Martell Webster comes back for the playoffs and adds even more versatility to the roster, we could go far in the playoffs. I am always a glass half full guy, so I'm hoping they beat the Lakers and represent the West in the finals! Maybe a year or 2 away, but you gotta dream.
