My first ramble

This is just a format for me to save and share some of my thoughts on Buffalo Bills football, especially Bills history, and various other topics. I don't expect a big readership or anything, just saving paper mostly.
Other than the Bills, I follow the Portland Trailblazers, enjoy silly comedy and historical drama. So, I may comment on a movie I saw, the Blazers or life in general.
My brother has 3 blogs on specific topics, but I'll stick with one due to time involved.
The Bills really missed the boat by not trading for Tony Gonzalez this week. I don't know if it was lack of effort by the Bills or lack of willingness by the Chiefs, but that would've been a great addition. The Bills haven't had a really good TE for a long time. They could use another weapon, as Lee Evans is really the only major threat in the passing game.
This Sunday the Bills play San Diego. Luckily it is a home game, and the Bills had a bye week to get ready. It will be a tough game no matter what, but hopefully they'll put together a good game and stay in first place in the AFC East. I would really love it if the Patriots finally came in second or lower.
The Bills and Chargers have a lot of history. They played for the AFL championship in both '64 and '65 - both won by the Bills. Some of the Bills best players were former Chargers like Jack Kemp and Paul Maguire. On the flip side, some Bills became Chargers - Doug Flutie, Mike Stratton, Tom Day, Marcellus Wiley, John Kidd, Martin Bayless and John Parella to name a few. The Chargers are a pretty cool team, and have a great history too. I especially like the late '70's early '80's teams with Dan Fouts, Kellen Winslow, Charlie Joiner, Wes Chandler, John Jefferson, Chuck Muncie, Gary "Big Hands" Johnson, Doug Wilkerson, Fred Dean etc.
Now, on to the Blazers. They are going to be much improved this year. I think they have 2 very good platoons. Starters: Greg Oden, Steve Blake, Brandon Roy, Martell Webster and LaMarcus Aldridge. 2nd platoon: Joel Pryzbilla, Sergio Rodriguez/Jerryd Bayless, Rudy Fernandez, Travis Outlaw, Channing Frye. While Martell Webster is out with injury, I hope they start Nicholas Batum and keep Outlaw on the second group. Batum has been been a pleasant surprise the last few games.
A couple of topics you could respond with are favorite Blazers of all time, best Blazer at each position or your predictions for this year.
