OUCH!!! Bills lose again.

The loss on Monday to Cleveland was brutal. This was a must win game if the Bills wanted to salvage the season, and it was lost in frustrating fashion. A special teams touchdown and great performances by the running backs was not enough to overcome the 3 interceptions thrown by Trent Edwards or the numerous missed opportunities. It was a roller coaster game, but now we pretty much have to win the next 6 to make the playoffs. Two things that stood out were the announcers talking about Scott Norwood's 47 yard miss in Super Bowl 25, and the Refs calling a penalty on Kawika Mitchell for pushing a Browns player out of bounds. The Bills fans I was with were all yelling "shut up", when the announcers brought up the most disappointing play in Bills history - then the accurate Rian Lindell missed wide right from 47 yards. Again - OUCH! On the Kawika Mitchell play, the Browns back was still in bounds when Mitchell pushed him out. Then he gets penalized for doing this! What's he supposed to do? Should he hold up and let the guy tiptoe down the sidelines for a score? Sometimes the refs need to have more common sense on these penalties against the defense. When you're going full speed trying to tackle someone, you can't stop in midair and not touch them. Troy Polamalu was recently commenting that they are changing the real nature of football with these calls. The call on Monday is a prime example. The Bills still should've won this game, but mistakes killed us.

The Blazers, on the other hand, are doing really well. Oden is starting to make a difference and Rudy is really fun to watch. I really love watching the games. My son, Henry, and I got to go see them play the Timberwolves on Nov. 8. It was a really fun game! The Blazers were down by 10 or 11 most of the game, but came back and won it. A couple of great defensive stops by Brandon Roy and Joel Pryzbilla were key at the end. It was fun to be part of the crowd. Henry is a good luck charm, he was also at the Hawks game last year that they came back from 10 down with 10 minutes left. Again, Roy was the hero in that one.
Keep it going Blazers!! Get it going Bills.....Please!

'The last time Buffalo put up 50 points or more in a game was on Sept. 8, 1991 in a 52-34 win over Pittsburgh. The 54 points was the team’s highest point total since they scored 58 points on Sept. 18, 1966 against Miami.'

Thought that might be good info for your blog... ~Rog
